Under-Sink Sentry Wellness System:

What does the Sentry Wellness System include?

The Sentry Wellness System includes:

  • 2 clear housings pre-installed on a mounting bracket
  • 1 Catalytic Carbon Filter
  • 1 Trappsorb Drop-In Filter
  • 1 in-line pressure relief valve (PRV)
  • 1 3/8” tubing for cold water-to-inlet connection (with PRV installed in-line)
  • 1 3/8” tubing for outlet-to-faucet connection (with male brass fitting)
  • 1 wrench
  • 2 screws for mounting the system

The only additional items you need in order to install the system are an adjustable wrench and a drill.

How does the Sentry Wellness System work?

The Sentry Wellness System is an in-line water treatment system designed to work with cold tap water. In the installation video,
you will see that our system goes between the cold-water valve and the
cold-water line so that when the faucet handle is turned 100% to the
cold side, the water will pass through our treatment system before
coming out of the faucet.

When the cold water goes through the
Sentry Wellness System, it experiences 5 stages of treatment that
removes harmful toxins from the water and enriches it with good-for-you
minerals. Through this treatment process, you get healthy, clean,
great-tasting drinking water straight from your tap!

What are the 5 stages of water treatment?

With the Sentry Wellness System, your water goes
through 5 stages of water treatment to ensure you get the cleanest,
best-tasting water possible.

  • Stage 1: The Sediment Wrap encapsulates large solids like dirt and debris up to 5 microns in size.
  • Stage 2: Catalytic Carbon removes Chlorine, Chloramines & VOCs.
  • Stage 3: CT Resin softens water and neutralizes soft and hard scale.
  • Stage 4: Trappsorb Media increases pH by boosting alkalinity using Magnesium Oxide.
  • Stage 5: Magnesium-Coated Catalytic Carbon removes fluoride, arsenic, PFAS, PFOS, and Pharmaceutical VOCs as well as sweetens water for improved taste.

What toxins does Sentry Wellness System remove?

The Sentry Wellness System removes ammonia, lead,
fluoride, cyanide, copper, chlorine, chromium, arsenic, sulfates,
pesticides, bacteria, PFAS, PFOS, and Pharmaceutical VOCs. In addition
to removing harmful toxins, our system also enriches the water with
essential nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and increased pH for
on-demand alkalinity.

You can also check out these results of independent testing performed on a sample of Mesa, Arizona tap water treated with our system.

What's the difference between the Sentry Wellness System and an RO System?

Simply put, the Sentry Wellness System removes all the bad stuff and
replaces it with the good stuff so you have clean, healthy,
great-tasting water.

Reverse Osmosis is a purification process
that uses multiple carbon blocks and a semi-permeable membrane to filter
out contaminants and sediments. While this process is effective at
purifying water, it also strips the water of good stuff like minerals.
Reverse Osmosis systems also tend to take up quite a bit of space, which
isn’t ideal for under-sink systems.

The Sentry Wellness System
uses 5 stages to filter your water that not only removes harmful toxins
and neutralizes soft and hard scale, but also enriches the water by
boosting alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. The Sentry Wellness System
is also smaller than your standard RO system, so you can still use your
under-sink space for other purposes.

How does the Sentry Wellness System treat recycled water?

The Sentry Wellness System utilizes several types
of filtration media, including Magnesium-Coated Catalytic Carbon. This
special type of media is able to filter out hard-to-remove organic
pollutants found in recycled water, including PFAS, PFOS, and
Pharmaceutical VOCs.

Read more about Magnesium-Coated Catalytic Carbon here.

Is there data to back up your claims?

Yes! The Sentry Wellness System has been
independent lab tested by Aquatic Consulting & Testing, Inc. for its
effectiveness against water treated in Mesa, Arizona. See a summary of the results here or view the full report here. See a summary of the Tempe results here or view the full Tempe report here.

Additionally,
samples of water from East Palestine, Ohio were independently tested by
Summit Environmental Technologies, Inc. This testing shows that no
amounts of vinyl chloride were detected in the water sample treated with
the Sentry Wellness System. See a summary of the vinyl chloride results here or view the full report here.

Why is there a Prop 65 warning on your product?

Out of an abundance of caution in order to be compliant with CA Prop 65,
Sentry Wellness System products include a Prop 65 warning on the
product labels. During the manufacturing process of the Mounting
Bracket, this single part is powder-coated with an ingredient listed in
the Prop 65 List. This part of the Sentry Wellness System simply holds
the system in place and does NOT come into contact with your water at
any point during the treatment process, which means there is no risk of
contamination or harm to your health. In fact, the Sentry Wellness
System is made with NSF-compliant components, which means they have been
rigorously tested by a third party for quality, performance, and
safety.

What if I have water pressure above 70 psi?

The Sentry Wellness System includes a pre-installed pressure-relief
valve to ensure that your system will function properly, regardless of
your home or apartment's water pressure. The pressure-relief valve also
protects against spikes in water pressure.

I just installed my system, why is my water pressure so low?

You may notice a slight decrease in water
pressure right after installing your water treatment system. As your
system normalizes, excess air is pushed out, which temporarily decreases
your water pressure. This should resolve within a few days of use and
your water pressure will go back to normal.

If you're experiencing
significantly reduced water pressure, it's possible the excess carbon
and trappsorb dust are clogging the filters. To fix this, simply flush
the filters by turning on the faucet and then switch back and forth
between hot and cold for up to 5 minutes.

How often should I replace my filters?

To ensure optimal filtration and water treatment,
we recommend you replace your Trappsorb Drop-In Filter and Catalytic
Carbon Filter once per year.

Shop for your replacement filters here.

Does the Sentry Wellness System work with a traditional salt-based water softener?

The Sentry Wellness System can only be used with a
salt-based water softener if it's used to remineralize the water after
it passes through a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. Salts, depending on the
dosing amount, can clog our filters and decrease their lifespan. In
some cases, the salts may not be removed entirely and leave the water
tasting bitter.

In general, we do not recommend using the Sentry Wellness System without an RO system when a salt water softener is in place.

through the Sentry Shower Filter, it experiences 2 stages of treatment
that remove harmful toxins from the water. Through this treatment
process, you get to enjoy showering in water that's truly clean, leaving
your skin feeling nourished and your hair silky smooth.

What are the 2 stages of water treatment?

With the Sentry Shower Filter, your water goes

What kind of maintenance does your Whole House System require?

Fortunately, maintaining your Whole House System is easy!

First,
set a reminder to replace your Whole House Tank in the future. To
ensure optimal filtration and water treatment, we recommend you replace
your tank every 5 years for the standard size and every 7 years for the
XL size.

Then, familiarize yourself with the Regeneration Timer on
the Whole House Tank because there may come a time when you need to
reset it. Every 4 days, a regeneration process occurs in order to keep
the system running smoothly. This process is meant to happen at a time
in which there is no water demand in your home (typically in the middle
of the night). If you were to try to use water during the regeneration
process, such as taking a shower or washing your hands, you may notice a
temporary loss of water pressure until the process is complete. In the
event of a power outage or breaker trip, it’s important to check the
timer and ensure it is set to regenerate at a time when there is zero
water demand.

That’s it for maintaining your Whole House System! For the included under-sink Wellness System, be sure to replace those filters once per year.

What can I expect for the regeneration process and how much water is used?

The Regeneration Head on the Whole House Tank will pump on average for 8
minutes, up to 3-4 gallons per minute, every 4 days. Be sure to follow
plumbing codes.

My Whole House Tank is still pumping out water from the regeneration process and it’s been more than 15 minutes. What can I do?

Contact us right away so we can help. To avoid loss of water pressure
and possible concerns with the backwashing process, turn off the tank by
opening up the bypass valves and reach out to us by email at info@o2watersolutions.com for next steps.

What do I do when I need a new tank for my Whole House System?

To ensure optimal filtration and water treatment,
we recommend you replace your Whole House Tank every 5 years for the
standard size and every 7 years for the XL size.

When that time
comes, simply order your replacement tank by contacting us by email at info@o2watersolutions.com

What's the difference between the Well Whole House System and the City Whole House System?

The Sentry Whole House System is designed to work
for residential homes that use municipal water as their water supply.
City water is typically pre-treated by the city to remove some common
groundwater contaminants. Our system is designed to fill in the gaps by
filtering out the contaminants that are still present after the city's
pre-treatment process.

The Sentry Well Whole House system is
specialized for residential homes that rely on well water for their
water supply. Well water doesn't receive the same water treatment
services as public water systems, so it requires additional filtration
power to target common well water contaminants. Based on the specific
contaminants in your well water, this system can be customized to remove
iron, manganese, and/or nitrates.

What's the difference between the Standard and XL systems?

The Sentry Well Whole House Wellness System is available in two sizes:
Standard and XL. The systems are identical; the XL system is simply
larger because it's designed for larger homes. Our standard system
treats homes up to 2,500 square feet and lasts up to 5 years of nonstop
